Bailing Big surprise: she's not coming this weekend. Better surprise: I don't care. I'm actually glad she's not coming. I'm done with being so giving to a person and not getting much in return. I deserve much, much better than that. And don't think I'm developing a raging ego and that I think I'm better than she is. I still think she's a nice girl and I don't the she's "not good enough for me" (no matter how many times she said it) -- I just deserve better treatment. She just wasn't very good to or for me. She's almost like a drug; she's addictive and unhealthy for me. Thankfully, I just went through rehab, so later for that. And don't think I'm angry or bitter, because I'm really good right now. It doesn't matter that she's being ridiculous or that I have a cold. I'm truly happy. Sniffles and a silly girl can't spoil that for me. Wow, three entries in a day. I guess that's cool since my blog turns three-years old today. Ha!

More Friends Rannie made me remember a Mark Twain quote I really like: "The proper office of a friend is to side with you when you are in the wrong. Nearly anybody will side with you when you are in the right."

Friends Over the last week I've gotten to spend time with people that mean a great deal to me, but don't get to see very often. Seeing Kitten, Justin, Glenda, and Rannie (okay, I see her more often than the others, but still) has been fantastic. And I mean fantastic the way Governor Scharzenegger says it. I'll cap off my "lost dear friends" time with Kate this weekend. It's been nice seeing people that know me well, but in very different ways. And some of the time spent has really helped me figure things out. I'm in a really awesome place right now (even though the lack of sleep from last week has caught up to me) and see many things I have to and will do. Don't worry, I'm not going to get melodramatic about change like Neil does on his blog.

Daughter Days I finally got to catch up with my old daughter (Glenda) last night. It was really cool catching up and learning about the woman she's become. I'm pretty sure it was the first time I saw her this millennium. All told, my SJ trip was fantastic personally and mediocre professionally. I'm still not sure what I want to do about the latter. Making noise -- whether it's justified or not -- has often gotten me in more trouble than it's worth.

Rainbows It was raining for most of today and now there's a nice rainbow in the sky. I think it's symbolic. If I can't go to my happy place then perhaps my happy place needs to come to me. I'm quite happy.

Two Tales When I first moved to Villa Siena, I thought for sure that it would be the nicest place I ever lived in. I mean, I knew I'd end up back in the city and probably couldn't afford a place like the one I have now. Surprisingly, my new apartment is ever cooler! It doesn't have pools and hot tubs (though I'm working on that), but it's just such an amazing apartment. The other story on my mind is about someone who shall be referred to as "PR blondie." We were both really drunk at a party last year and ended up fooling around. I didn't remember at all, and she mentioned it jokingly a few months later. At first I didn't believe and thought she was messing with me, but then she was describing how I kiss and I was all, "Oh, that was me." It's been on my mind lately because when I kiss the...uhmm...girl I'm really crazy about, I get so jazzed and can't really kiss the way I usually do. I'm just so caught up in her that the only thing I can do is try to kiss like her. Since I have no idea what I'm doing when I kiss her, she probably thinks I'm the worst kisser ever. Bummer.

Home Sweet Home So I found a new apartment in San Francisco. The neighborhood isn't the best, but it's super-convenient to get around and stuff. Plus it's just an awesome place. It's brand new and high tech (five security cameras) and has three killer patios. Six bedrooms and four bathrooms...so living with the boys should be fine. Plus, I can take three-minute cab to Farley's for some me time. It's gonna be fun!

I finally got around to getting those D.I.C.E. pictures up. Ryan sure takes a lot of photos. I'm trying to justify whether I need this or not. It's a really great deal. Oh, it's snowing in New York. Yuck.

New York, NY The last few days in the city have been nice. I haven't been going crazy -- partially because I want to do "home" things and partially because the last two weeks in Vegas were out of hand. I got to eat a lot of pizza, get one of those killer reubens at Carnegie Deli (w/Ryan and Jon), go to Hop Kee (w/Ryan, Jon, Kaisler, Jeremy, and Fran), and go to Figaro (w/Jon and Ryan). I love showing peeps the parts of the city I like. Too bad I only got to hit up only a few places. I'm fighting off a cold so my energy isn't super high. I also got to see my super-awesome cousin Mae! It's been years since I've seen her (bad me) and it was lovely catching up. So between getting to do all these city things, doing some light shopping, seeing my cousin, and spending five nights a The W Times Square, it's been a fun and relaxing trip. Too bad work stuff is kind of irritating these days. Oh well, one thing at a time I suppose. Here are the NY pics. I still have D.I.C.E. pics and WrestleMania pics to process. Hopefully I'll get to those tomorrow. Oh yeah, I get to see Pickle tomorrow for lunch. Roomies reunited!

Mo D.I.C.E. Wow, there's a lot to cover since my last entry. I'll give it a shot though. - Thank you, thank you, thank you Mo! I know it's been almost four years since we last saw or heard from each other, and calling you under those funky circumstances was pretty...unexpected. But you helped me out big time. I kind of don't want to know how you got everything done, but it's a tremendous favor you did for me. I owe you a life debt. Call in that marker any time. Let's have a few beers and shoot some darts at the pub this weekend counselor. - If you've heard or read any rumors about me, be like Public Enemy and don't believe the hype. Some of it is true and some of it isn't. Yes, it happened. Please don't ask me about it next time you see me. Maybe wait a few months and we'll chat about it over a drink. - D.I.C.E. was really cool. The lineup wasn't as big as last year's, but the sessions I went to were really awesome. I got to work on lots of cool side projects and get plenty of publicity. My little stunt got tons of reactions. Most of them were cool, some of them were whimsical, and very few demeaning. It's like Jack Sparrow says, "but you have heard of me." Ryan has some pics up on his site (check the entry from 3/7). - Today was a very Orange County day. It's absolutely gorgeous outside. Steve and I went to the pool early on. I worked on my tan for the first time this year (Dang I forgot how much I enjoy tanning). Next we caught up with Christian for some Taco Mesa action. Then we went shopping at South Coast Plaza. - I'm not going crazy with my money and hopefully I won't. I did buy some things to celebrate a little. Most of it was on sale, so no worries. The discounted items include five DVDs, three Tommy shirts, a pair of Kenneth Cole boots, and a Zegna shirt. The one item I picked up that wasn't on sale was a Paul Frank camo bag. Aside from a few pairs of shoes (I need Camper Twins!), I don't think I'll be splurging anymore. - Last, but not least. To the handful of people that are alarmed by my recent activities, please don't worry. Everything is cool and I'm happier than I've been in a long, long time. Just trust me on this one.

Looking Through the Retroscope But first, a request: if you ever loved me, liked me, or hated me, please download this video. It might be the funnest video feature I worked on. Ryan and I had loads of fun with it. It's funny. My January really sucked. February was lots of fun and a little surprising. March is definitely going to be full of surprises -- the biggest of which should be in my bank account on Monday -- and hopefully just as much fun. Perhaps starting the year off like crap is helping me enjoy all the cool things happening lately. Score.

New York, New York Sucks Too All the good video-poker machines are gone from NY, NY. It's a damn shame since that was the one place on that end of the strip with decent video poker. That discovery and leaving my phone charger at The Venetian were the only downers of my trip...which was probably the most fun I've had in Vegas outside of Esmond's bachelor party. Friday was really ridiculous. Reilly got a private booth at Light (The Bellagio). Many bottles of Belvedere were consumed and the booth came with some really pretty girls. My favorite was Josie, who was this sexy, tiny thing. It was a really decadent time...but it didn't stop there. After getting back to The Venetian (I don't remember how), a bunch of us ended up in a cab to Crazy Horse Too. At this point I was severely smashed and kept buying lap dances for my crew. Towards the end of the night/morning, this one girl was telling me her life story and the sad tale of how she ended up in Vegas. I think I tried to marry her. Billy and I left the club and were surprised that it was 7:00AM and really bright out. Saturday wasn't as crazy, but still plenty of fun. Reilly got private seating at Rain (The Palms) and the Grey Goose was flowing. There weren't any girls this time (until Jennie fetched some), but I didn't need one since I spent much of the night with a really incredible woman. We talked a lot and I shared more of my feelings than I should have, but I think I understand her more and I hope she better understands how I feel about her. I was just extremely jazzed to spend time with her. Half of me wants her to remember everything, but it's probably better if she doesn't. Here are the rest of the pics from Light.
